If you are a small or medium sized enterprise, as we approach the end of the Annus Horribilis that was 2020 and try and look forward to 2021 the future holds lots of uncertainties.
On 1st January we are out of the EU on terms we currently still don’t know.
No-one understands the impact that the incoming President Biden will have on the US economy (assuming the outgoing President Trump does not succeed with any of his innumerable challenges to the election result!) and closer to home, what effect the continuing lockdown and the much anticipated vaccine to counteract Covid will have on the wider UK economy and the Chancellors room for manoeuvre to implement the governments manifesto promises and to recoup the billions spent on furlough, loans and supporting the NHS during 2020.
So how can SME's plan?
Whilst you cannot ignore the impact that these will have there are some strategies to bear in mind whilst trying to make plan ahead: -
