I am a Chartered Accountant by profession "but not as boring as Monty Python would have you believe" and have spent over 45 years working with charities and owner managed businesses of many types and sizes; from national to local businesses, and from start-ups to multi-million pound businesses. I have worked with national and international charities as well as small local not for profit organisations.

In each situation I have ensured that the solutions to client problems are tailored to the clients own specific needs as in the case of two clients with identical problems, the solution may not be the same. That is why a good strategic and governance framework is essential.

  • Assisted an International Learned Society by facilitating a two day meeting of their trustees and executive team to re-examine their present strategy and constitution and start to formulate a new way forward. Followed that up 5 years later with another facilitation to formulate the next 5 year plan.
